Updates

• Production Release: Inspector Pool is already available on Google Play as open beta and is moving to the 1.0.0 production release, preserving all existing local inspection data through the upgrade path.
• Subscription & Free Trial: Introduced monthly and annual subscription options via RevenueCat. New users receive a 20-day free trial on first launch, with in-app reminders as the trial nears expiration. A 24-hour grace period applies after trial expiry before paid features are restricted.
• Google Sign-In: Added Firebase Authentication with Google Sign-In which is required for subscribing or restoring purchases.
• Paywall & Subscription Management: New paywall screen with monthly/annual pricing, savings comparison, and dynamic offering selection based on trial status. Settings now shows subscription status, Upgrade Now, Manage Subscription, and Restore / Sync Subscription options.
• Inspection Workflow Improvements: Enhanced inspection question UI. Added a category-level "Mark entire category as N/A" toggle with a persistent N/A badge on collapsed sections.
• Report Outdated Indicators: Reports now display an orange "Outdated" badge when the underlying inspection has been edited since the report was generated, with a brief pulsing info icon on the Reports screen when outdated reports exist.
• Inspector Profile Enhancements: Added a camera option when picking a company logo. Added a Copy feature for Inspector/Company Profile records to quickly duplicate company details for a new inspector.
• Settings & Support Polish: Reorganized Settings with clearer section headers. Added a Contact Support option that opens a pre-filled support email including your App User ID. Help content and the About screen now link to the online user manual. About Inspector Pool displays the runtime version and build number.
• Terms of Use Update: Updated in-app Terms of Use to reflect the subscription model, trial period, auto-renewal, cancellation via Google Play, and grace period policy.

Updates

• Improved App Stability on Android 15 Devices: Resolved initialization crashes on select Samsung devices (e.g., Galaxy S23 Ultra), including Hive storage errors and decryption issues during first launch and or on navigating to the settings screen.
• Enhanced Security and Performance: Updated core dependencies for better compatibility and possible edge-case failures.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed initialization errors (TypeAdapter conflicts and BadPaddingExceptions) that prevented app launch on obfuscated release builds for Android 15 devices.

Known Issues

• Motorola Razr 2025: Unable to import custom list (CSV file). This issue has only been reproducible on the Motorola Razr 2025 (flip phone) and appears to be related to its firmware. The suspected cause is the multi-screen display, but further research is required. The workaround is to copy the in-app checklist and edit it to meet custom needs.
• Motorola Razr 2025: Unable to use the camera when adding an image to the Inspection record. This issue has only been reproducible on the Motorola Razr 2025 (flip phone) and appears to be related to its firmware. The suspected cause is the multi-screen display, but further research is required. The workaround is to take the picture separately and use the gallery option to add it to the inspection.

Core Test Case Scenarios

These scenarios are designed to guide testers during the closed beta phase:

• Confirm Build Version 1.0.0-Beta.2: Navigate to the Settings screen, click on "About Inspector Pool," and confirm the build number is correct.
• Create Inspector Record: Navigate to the Inspector screen, click the floating plus button to create a new record, enter required and optional data, and save the record.
• Create Client Record: Navigate to the Client screen, click the floating plus button to create a new record, enter required and optional data, and save the record.
• Create Inspection Record: Navigate to the Inspection screen, click the floating plus button to create a new record, enter required and optional data, and save the record. Note: The app-provided inspection checklist is lengthy, but its questions are not required to save the record.
• Create Report Record: Navigate to the Reports screen, click the floating plus button to create a new report record, and select an existing Inspection record. Note: An Inspection record is required to create a report.
• Share Report: In the Report preview, click the email icon, select the email option, click share, choose your email client, review the email, and send. The email recipient should receive the email with the PDF report attached.
